4. Permissions and Device Access

Based on the Android App Bundle reviewed for this Application, the Application may request or rely on the following permissions and device capabilities. Availability and prompts may vary depending on your device, Android version, region, and the features you choose to use.

• Precise and approximate location: used to provide local weather forecasts, nowcast information, radar views, saved locations, nearby weather conditions, regional weather content, and location-based service configuration. You can manage location access in your device settings.
• Internet, network state, and Wi-Fi state: used to retrieve forecast data, radar imagery, weather alerts, app configuration, support content, ads, analytics, diagnostics, and security-related service responses.
• Wallpaper and launcher access: used to apply supported wallpapers, read or align with the current wallpaper state where permitted by the system, update launcher presentation, and support home screen customization selected by the user.
• Request package deletion: used only for launcher or app-management flows where the user chooses to remove an app or start a system uninstall request. The Application cannot silently uninstall apps without user action and system confirmation.
• Wake lock and foreground service: used to keep important app tasks running long enough to complete weather updates, background work, launcher-related operations, notifications, or service synchronization where allowed by Android.
• Notifications and cloud messaging: used to deliver weather alerts, service messages, update notices, or other app-related notifications where supported and permitted by the user.
• Vibration: used for notification feedback, alert feedback, or launcher interaction feedback where supported by the device.
• Phone state or basic phone state: may be used for device compatibility, app stability, diagnostics, fraud prevention, advertising measurement, or service optimization. The Application does not use this access to read call audio, call content, text messages, contacts, or personal conversations.
• Advertising ID and Android AdServices permissions: used for advertising delivery, ad measurement, attribution, frequency control, fraud prevention, and analytics in accordance with platform controls and applicable law.
• Install referrer and attribution services: used to understand app installation sources, campaign performance, and service activation metrics.

The reviewed bundle did not show camera or microphone permissions. If a future version adds features that require additional sensitive permissions, this Privacy Policy should be updated before release.

5. Launcher Features

Because the Application includes launcher functionality, it may change certain aspects of your home screen experience, such as layout behavior, wallpaper presentation, widgets, search surfaces, or icon arrangement. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate the Application, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support app functionality.

Local app settings, launcher preferences, saved weather locations, wallpaper selections, and cached content are generally retained on your device until you delete them, clear app data, reset the Application, or uninstall the Application. Third-party providers may retain analytics, advertising, crash, attribution, or diagnostic data according to their own policies and legal obligations.
